Your application for a stall at Hinterland Harvest Market will be assessed alongside the vision for being locally grown, made or produced.  Product suitability will be assessed regarding duplication of products, and the standard of the product, to ensure the market maintains quality and diversity in the type of foods/goods permissible.


Trading Times

  • Every Saturday from 7am -12noon March-October 


Market Equipment

  • Stallholders are required to provide their own marquees and or market umbrellas and any other equipment required to trade. 

  • We would ask you to consider bringing an extra marquee/umbrella for customer shade purposes.  HHM will provide a limited number of marquees/umbrellas for shade.  The more shade we have throughout the market precinct, the more comfort for your customers

  • Stalls and equipment are to be in good working order and well-presented condition

  • HHM does not provide any stall equipment for hire or loan




  • Stallholders start arriving from 5am for a 7am start

  • Stallholders will be given allocated arrival times

  • Stallholders are to drive within market site in a safe manner

  • Stallholders will be directed to sites by market management and or staff

  • All stallholders are required to be ready to trade by 7am




  • Stallholders are required to trade till close of business, unless they run out of stock.  If so, signage needs to be placed on table advising of this and stall left well-presented

  • Stallholders cannot pack up and leave site without advising market management



Stalls Presentation/Service

  • Produce and products are to be well presented within your stall, and service delivered in a friendly, helpful manner

  • Presentation is crucial to delivering a quality market

  • Photos of stalls/products are required to be submitted with online application



Stallholder Fees

  • Up to 3m site – fees start from $35 up to $55 (product type and power dependant)

  • 3m site - ready to eat food vendors $65 including power

  • Payments online – fees are required in market account the Wednesday prior to market day

  • Invoices will be emailed



  • Site fees are non-refundable if a no-show on market day

  • Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the market commences (by Thursday morning) will not incur a cancellation fee. 



Public Liability Insurance

  • All stallholders are required to attach a certificate of currency for Public and Product Liability insurance to the value of $20,000,000 with their online application

  • HHM will hold Public Liability insurance and Indemnity of at least $20 million

  • HHM Policy will cover the use of the market precinct and for any market activity; and indemnify HHM in respect of any liability arising from that use




  • Approved products will include but not limited to:

    • Farmers, Food Producers, Value Added Food Artisans, Resellers, Plant based products, drinks and cooking stalls

    • Other products can include, pottery, artworks, woodwork, natural health and skincare products, and other handmade items to be approved.

  • A stallholder can only sell products that have been approved by HHM as listed on their application

  • If a stallholder wishes to add other produce/goods to their stall, permission MUST be sought from HHM Management

  • HHM will be the arbiter of suitability of any product, or service offered by a stallholder at the market


Food Stalls - Licences/Permits

  • All ‘cooking’ food stalls are required to hold a Sunshine Coast Council temporary food licence.

  • Stallholders must display a current copy of their Council Food License at their stall whilst trading

  • Stallholders are responsible for compliance with regulations and standards appropriate to their stall, service and production

  • Flooring and or matting is mandatory for cooking stalls

  • Matting is to be taped down to ensure there are no trip hazards to customers and staff

  • Food stalls are not to sell commercial bottled or canned soft drinks. They are permitted to sell water. (other drinks to be discussed with the manager)




  • All electrical equipment, inclusive of leads used during the market will need to be tested and tagged by a qualified electrician. Equipment without a valid tag will not be connected.

  • All stallholders are to supply their own extension leads. Suggest a minimum of 25metres

  • Food Vendors using a deep fryer must have a fire extinguisher at their stall in case of emergency

  • Generators are not permitted

  • Stallholders with higher power needs e.g. cooking/refrigeration appliances should connect using a suitable ‘earth leakage protection device’

  • If Stallholders are sharing a power point ensure the total load does not exceed 2400 watts

  • Double adaptors are not permitted for commercial usage under any circumstance.

  • Stallholders found with non-compliant and unsafe appliances or cords could have their power withdrawn


Site Allocation

  • HHM Management will allocate sites based on produce, size and electricity requirements


On-Site Vehicles

  • Some stallholders are eligible to have their vehicles onsite. You will be advised if this is possible.


Code of Conduct

  • Stallholders shall comply with instructions set by HHM who have jurisdiction in relation to all market matters.

  • Stallholders shall not insult, abuse, or intimidate other stallholders, customers or HHM staff

  • If a stallholder has any issues please take them directly to the Market Manager


Casual Stalls

  • Some stallholders are welcome as casuals either fortnightly or monthly, this is decided by HHM




  • Marquees must have weights attached, and umbrellas must have a weighted base

  • For safety reasons, stallholders may not be permitted to trade if they do not have weights



Waste Management

  • Stallholders are required to dispose of their own waste, including boxes and cartons.  All waste must be removed from market site by the stallholder, and not placed in council bins. Council bins are provided for customers

  • Stallholders are responsible for leaving their site and surrounding area clean and tidy, failure to do so may result in a cleaning fee.



  • In the event of showery or windy weather where there is minimal or no risk to public safety the market will operate

  • Stallholders are required to be prepared to trade in wet and windy weather

  • In extreme weather if there is a public safety risk, HHM Management will make the decision to cancel the market. If a market is cancelled you will be notified by text and or email prior to the market (have your mobile handy during inclement weather)

  • All stallholders are responsible for providing adequate shelter for their products

  • If weather deteriorates during the day any approval of a decision to pack-up and leave will be made by HHM management

  • HHM will not be responsible for any damages, loss of stock or injury resulting from adverse weather conditions



  • The Market Manager reserves the right to enter any stall site and remove any signage, picture, poster, written material or any other item considered unsafe, inappropriate or offensive. The Market Manager may also remove any unapproved products


Social Media

  • Stallholders are requested to write positive messages about HHM on social media. Negative comments and criticisms about other stallholders and HHM Management on any HHM publicity pages will result in removal from HHM. All grievances can be resolved professionally by other means.



  • There is NO SMOKING anywhere within the market precinct, under Queensland Law.
